REFLECTION
Experience

The first time I went to this class, it was a bit intimidating, but the whole experience has been fun and not as hard as I thought. Most of it was experimenting with different variations we can do, which was fun to challenge myself to come up with a lot of variations. I also liked how all of the exercises build up to the next task, so the things I learned in the previous task are not forgotten but continue to be used and developed.

Observations

I didn't think that typography would be as important as I know now. Realizing just how much impact it has on fonts in many circumstances, from the font in giant billboards to the font in web designs. The fact that people who design this give so much thought and consideration to choosing each font or sometimes making a custom font to make the intended message delivered clearly. This module let me see typography in a new light and learn to appreciate it.

Findings

I thought that typography was just a matter of putting a bunch of fancy-looking fonts maybe changing the size or rotating it a bit and that's done. But turns out there are a lot of rules that you have to follow and even with a simple font you can make a huge impact. And as much I learned in my time experimenting with a lot of variation the answer is often the most simple and straightforward design.
